Basketball Recap: Anders Tinjum Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal

Ada-Borup won the last time they faced Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal and things went their way on Friday too. The Ada-Borup Cougars walked away with a 79-68 win over the Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Titans. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Titans are ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ada-Borup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anders Tinjum led the charge by putting up 19 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave Tinjum a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Austin McCraven, who went 9 of 17 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds.

Ada-Borup is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
