Volleyball Game Preview: Simi Valley Pioneers vs. Agoura Chargers

Simi Valley is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Agoura a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Simi Valley Pioneers will host the Agoura Chargers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Simi Valley turned things around against Rio Mesa on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Pioneers this season.

One reason for the win was Simi Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Agoura made easy work of Viewpoint on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Agoura walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Agoura's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Simi Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
