Basketball Recap: Burns Takes a Loss

Burns suffered their biggest defeat since February 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 51-26 to the Vale Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Hilanders in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Vale, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Burns and Vale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Burns (ranked 39th) will meet Ontario (ranked 225th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Vale will challenge Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 46 places (6 vs. 52).
