Fruitland had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-13 win over the Kimberly Bulldogs. The Grizzlies pushed the score to 42-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Titus Vidalk had a dynamite game, rushing for 164 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Fruitland's leading receiver Spencer Tracy was Vidalk's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one TD on the ground.

When it comes to explaining why Kimberly lost, don't look at Joe Barrett. Despite the final result, he picked up 160 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Barrett's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

Fruitland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-20 victory against Emmett on the 29th. As for Kimberly, they have also already played their next game, a 38-8 win against Layton Christian Academy on the 29th.
