Softball Recap: Byrd Comes Up Short

Byrd fell victim to Natchitoches Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost six in a row.

Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Natchitoches Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Byrd is taking a road trip to take on Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Natchitoches Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-11 loss against Sacred Heart on the 27th.
