Basketball Game Preview: Hermiston Bulldogs vs. Kamiakin Braves

Hermiston hasn't had much luck against Kamiakin recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hermiston Bulldogs will square off against the Kamiakin Braves at 3:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Hermiston didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Walla Walla, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Kamiakin strolled past Walla Walla with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-43. The Braves pushed the score to 45-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Hermiston is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Kamiakin, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Hermiston was dealt a bruising 81-48 defeat at the hands of Kamiakin in their previous meeting back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hermiston was down 46-26.
