Recap: Carson Senators vs. Damonte Ranch Mustangs
The Carson Senators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Damonte Ranch 70-30. While losing is never fun, Carson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Mustangs are ranked fifth).
Carson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Landon Hoff, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Dylan O'dell, who scored five points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Damonte Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jace Anderson, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Sisco, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Carson dropped their record down to 4-17 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Damonte Ranch, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Carson will head out on the road to take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Damonte Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m.
