Volleyball Recap: Telluride Find Success

While Telluride's win against Crested Butte wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miners won by a set and slipped past the Titans 3-2. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Telluride took Crested Butte into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-8, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11.

Ford Fenton had a dynamite game, getting 15 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in kills (three).

Fenton wasn't the only good servers: Telluride was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Telluride's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Crested Butte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Telluride has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ignacio on the 27th. As for Crested Butte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Custer County on the 2nd.
