Football Recap: Riverside Generals vs. Escambia Gators

Riverside and Escambia squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Riverside had to settle for second. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to the Escambia Gators. That's two games in a row now that the Generals have lost by just one point.

Riverside lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Myles Kendrick, who rushed for 112 yards. Those 112 rushing yards gave Kendrick a new career-high. Shermon Davis was another key back, gaining 151 total yards.

Riverside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ronald Bertrand and Anthony Henry.
