Recap: Ness City Eagles vs. Northern Valley Huskies
The Ness City Eagles struggled with assists on Thursday (the Northern Valley Huskies had 1600% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Ness City suffered a rough 65-41 loss at the hands of Northern Valley. Ness City lost against Northern Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-62 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Ness City lost, one person who can't be blamed is William Childers. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with 3 steals. The contest was Childers' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Stenzel, who scored 7 points.
Northern Valley can attribute much of their success to Drew Schemper, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kenton Thalheim was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Ness City now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Northern Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ness City will take on Hodgeman County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northern Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Logan/Palco at 7:00 p.m.
