Copper Basin is 8-2 against Lookout Valley since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Copper Basin duked it out with Whitwell on Friday. The Cougars were beaten by the Tigers 49-14. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nathan Spencer, who rushed for 69 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Lookout Valley had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of Huntland.

Lookout Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alexander Murasso and Jayden Fitch.

Copper Basin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lookout Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
