Baseball Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. North Lenoir Hawks

Bunn scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 18-7 margin over the North Lenoir Hawks. With that win, Bunn brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Bunn got a massive performance out of Caleb Johnson, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Pearce, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.

On North Lenoir's side, Ethan Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Byrd, who went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

Even though they lost, North Lenoir kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. This was only their first loss (out of six games) when they post 11 or more hits.
