Basketball Recap: Morton Ranch Comes Up Short

Morton Ranch lost against Seven Lakes back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Morton Ranch Mavericks opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-50 defeat to the Seven Lakes Spartans. The Mavericks just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Morton Ranch's record now sits at 5-19. As for Seven Lakes, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-21.

Morton Ranch and Seven Lakes could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Morton Ranch (ranked 901st) will meet Katy (ranked 281st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seven Lakes will face off against Cinco Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 627 places (724 vs. 97).
