Southern got themselves on the board against Meade on Friday, but Meade never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Southern and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Meade, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.

Southern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against South River on the 2nd. Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
