Basketball Recap: Red Lake Takes a Loss

Red Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Nevis Tigers, falling 71-22. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-8.

When it comes to explaining why Red Lake lost, don't look at Rhianna May. Despite the final result, she posted four points and seven rebounds. May is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Red Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Nevis, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Lake will venture away from home to square off against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nevis, they will head out to take on Blackduck at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
