Football Game Preview: Pierce Bears vs. Durham Trojans + How To Watch

Pierce is 2-8 against Durham since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Pierce will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Pierce beat Paradise 31-20. The Bears pushed the score to 31-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Pierce can attribute much of their success to Austin Jorge, who rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Jorge a new career-high. Pierce also got a significant boost from Nate Macintosh, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 6-6 at halftime, Durham was not quite East Nicolaus' equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Trojans have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
