Softball Recap: Garland Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Garland Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 25-14 to the Ovilla Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Swordsmen of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Ivy Graham stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Sherrill, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Garland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ovilla Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

While Garland Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
