Basketball Recap: Cedar Valley Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against English Valleys

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Valley Christian). Everything went their way against the English Valleys Bears on Monday as the Cedar Valley Christian Huskies made off with a 74-53 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Huskies have posted against the Bears since December 12, 2016.

Cedar Valley Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for English Valleys, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18.

Cedar Valley Christian will challenge Belle Plaine at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Belle Plaine likes a good challenge. As for English Valleys, they will take on Pekin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pekin will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something English Valleys surely won't give up without a fight.
