Softball Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Compton on Tuesday, Cabrillo came back down to earth. The Jaguars lost 23-1 to the Woodrow Wilson Bruins on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in March.

Cabrillo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season. As for Woodrow Wilson, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

Coming up, Cabrillo will welcome Millikan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will head out on the road to challenge San Clemente at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tritons have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
