Basketball Recap: Gloucester County Christian Comes Up Short

Gloucester County Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 55-43 to the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Conquerors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 26th in New Jersey, while the Cougars are ranked 559th in Pennsylvania).

Gloucester County Christian's record now sits at 2-7. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their record is now 3-5.

Gloucester County Christian will finish 2024 at home by hosting Calvary Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springfield Township at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
