Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
212 Sports Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jovan Jovanovic out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Jovanovic continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Adrian Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Vine Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Keniel Velez, who shot 7-for-14 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 58.6% of Vine Christian Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Luis Carias, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
212 Sports Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Vine Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
