Soccer Recap: Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Comes Up Short

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt entered their game against Hidalgo on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Spartans lost 4-0 to the Hidalgo Pirates. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Pirates are ranked 588th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Vanguard Academy Rembrandt fell to 7-1. As for Hidalgo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Vanguard Academy Rembrandt and Hidalgo will both be playing Valley View the next time they take the pitch. Vanguard Academy Rembrandt will host Valley View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hidalgo will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th.
