Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Bearcats vs. Clover Blue Eagles

After flying high against Ridge View last Thursday, Rock Hill came back down to earth. The Bearcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clover Blue Eagles on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 16-25, 25-18.

Gracie Schneider paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Schneider got some help from Mattie Kline and her 12 assists. Sage Pettengill controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Bryn Turlington had an outrageously good game for Clover as she had 28 digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Turlington is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Dariya Ivanova, who had 11 digs and two assists.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Clover, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Rock Hill has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Indian Land on the 4th. As for Clover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Fort Mill on the 4th.
