At the plate, Gaven Arana was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jake Threadgill was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter Academy didn't have quite enough to beat East Ridge on Friday and fell 6-5.
Salim Abdul-Nabi was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other pitching news, Cornerstone Charter Academy got a good showing from Noah Ewing, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Ewing a new career-low.
Back at the plate, Efrain Rivera was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
Legacy Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
