Softball Game Preview: Parish Hill Pirates vs. Wheeler Lions

The Parish Hill Pirates will challenge the Wheeler Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Parish Hill is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against University, falling 19-11.

Parish Hill got a massive performance out of Sionna Houser, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Houser has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Cloutier, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Wheeler suffered their biggest loss since April 28th on Saturday. They lost 17-5 to Montville. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chloe Sanders made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Parish Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Parish Hill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wheeler struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
