Softball Recap: Clearwater Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Clearwater Central Catholic lost against Hollins back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Clearwater Central Catholic came up short against Hollins, falling 13-3. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaelyn Foubister was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Clearwater Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Clearwater Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hollins, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Clearwater Central Catholic will welcome Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Stephen's Episcopal will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clearwater Central Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hollins, they will venture away from home to challenge Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
