Volleyball Recap: Alcott Takes a Loss

Alcott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Chicago Academy Cougars. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alcott was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22.

Alcott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chicago Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alcott is set to take on their familiar foe Westinghouse at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chicago Academy will square off against rival Lake View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
