The Loomis Wolves will square off against the Cambridge Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Loomis was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Maywood/Hayes Center on Friday. Loomis blew past Maywood/Hayes Center 52-0. The victory continues a trend for Loomis in their matchups with Maywood/Hayes Center: they've now won six in a row.

Jace Schukar was his usual excellent self, rushing for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Clete Booe was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and one TD on only eight carries.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Loomis proved: they limited Maywood/Hayes Center to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Phillip Titkemeier for the heroic effort on defense: he. Loomis didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.
Meanwhile, Cambridge humbled Bertrand with a 56-6 victory.
Cambridge's win came from a few key players Loomis will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Micah Gerlach, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Brady Ahlemeyer was Gerlach's top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 60 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

Loomis' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cambridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Loomis has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 193.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cambridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 273.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Loomis' way against Cambridge when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Loomis made off with a 36-16 win. In that game, the Wolves amassed a halftime lead of 22-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
