Softball Recap: Arvin Bears vs. North Stars
Arvin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against North, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears put the hurt on the Stars with a sharp 19-5 victory on Thursday. Considering the Bears have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Velazquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Velazquez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
