Football Game Preview: Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos vs. The Dalles Riverhawks

The Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos will square off against The Dalles Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community is looking for their season's first victory.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community and Baker meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Friday. The Buckaroos took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Dalles). They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over Ontario on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Riverhawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community better keep an eye on Reese Kenslow. He was instrumental in The Dalles' win, rushing for 61 yards and one TD.

Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for The Dalles, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community against The Dalles in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, as the squad secured a 49-12 victory. Will the Buckaroos repeat their success, or do the Riverhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
