While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Trojans are ranked 95th).

Northern Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 0-10-2 record this season. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
