Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Point Pleasant Beach couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Providence Pioneers on Tuesday. The Garnet Gulls' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Point Pleasant Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for New Providence, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-15.

Point Pleasant Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Providence, they will square off against Thrive Charter on Friday. Thrive Charter will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something New Providence surely won't give up without a fight.
