Basketball Recap: Corydon Central Find Success

Corydon Central lost to Charlestown back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Corydon Central Panthers walked away with a 60-52 win over the Charlestown Pirates.

Despite the loss, Charlestown still got an impressive performance from Anthony Fresh, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Todd, who posted nine points and five assists.

Corydon Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Charlestown, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

When Corydon Central and Charlestown next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Corydon Central will try to stop Paoli's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Charlestown will challenge Seymour and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
