Baseball Recap: Hatton Hornets vs. Clements Colts
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Daphne, Hatton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Clements Colts 9-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Canaan Speegle made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Hatton's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 11-12 when he doesn't). Speegle was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
