Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Ellsworth Panthers at home by a 61-46 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 69-43 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ellsworth, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Spring Valley has already played their next matchup (against Elmwood/Plum City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ellsworth will square off against St. Croix Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
