Eastern Randolph had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it ten. They lost 11-0 to the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 16-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Eastern Randolph saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adie Beck, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.

As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

On Uwharrie Charter Academy's side, not much got past Paityn Williams, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Eastern Randolph off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emory Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrie Kaufman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

While Eastern Randolph had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
