Baseball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Meridian duked it out with Petal on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 17-3. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Petal, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Petal beat Meridian by a score of 20-1 on Friday.
