Recap: Auburn Eagles vs. Roanoke Catholic Celtics
Even though the Roanoke Catholic Celtics scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, the Auburn Eagles still came out on top. Auburn enjoyed a cozy 81-67 win over Roanoke Catholic. The win made it back-to-back wins for Auburn.
Several Celtics players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Demarcus Brown, who scored 18 points along with three steals. The matchup was Brown's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who scored 18 points.
Auburn has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Roanoke Catholic, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Auburn will be playing in front of their home fans against Pipestem Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pipestem Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. As for Roanoke Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against George Wythe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
