Volleyball Recap: Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Central had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They blew past the Benton Cardinals 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Central took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-10.

Avery AJ Whiteman paced Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Whiteman really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 21. Jeshuam Marquez and Dominick Hapner kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Central's win bumped their record up to 25-6-1. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15-2.

Looking ahead, Central will challenge Oak Park at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benton, they will face off against Park Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
