Basketball Recap: Baboquivari Beats Patagonia for Their Second Straight Win

Patagonia came into Friday's match looking for another win against Baboquivari, but Kara Baptisto wouldn't allow it. The Baboquivari Warriors blew past the Patagonia Lobos 61-35 on Friday thanks in part to Baptisto, who went 12 for 25 on her way to 33 points and six steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Marissa Antone was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven assists and six blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Baboquivari and bumps their season record up to 13-7. As for Patagonia, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Baboquivari will square off against Lourdes Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baboquivari has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Patagonia, they will face off against The Gregory School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
