After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Oswego, Newberg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the Sunset Apollos. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The victory got Newberg back to even at 2-2. As for Sunset, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Newberg and Sunset will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers are set to square off against their familiar foe Century at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sunset will challenge rival Mountainside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
