Basketball Recap: Eli Barringer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Druid Hills over Banneker

Druid Hills was the 69-44 winner over Banneker when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Friday. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Druid Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Barringer, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Oluremi Guerrero, who put up 13 points.

Druid Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Banneker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Druid Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-31 defeat against North Springs on the 9th. As for Banneker, they have also already played their next game, a 74-58 loss against McIntosh on the 9th.
