Compton has gone a perfect 4-0 against Compton Early College recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tarbabes will square off against the Rising Phoenix at 3:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Meanwhile, Compton Early College unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Dominguez on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Compton Early College have struggled against Dominguez recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
