After losing to Lowell Catholic the last time they met, Medford decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Medford Mustangs walked away with a 42-31 win over the Lowell Catholic Crusaders on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Despite the loss, Lowell Catholic saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leticia Castro posted 21 points. That was a full 67.7% of Lowell Catholic's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Medford's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Lowell Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medford will face off against Malden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Malden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lowell Catholic, they will square off against Collegiate Charter School of Lowell at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
