Basketball Recap: Garrison Takes a Loss

Garrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 54-35 to the Redwater Dragons. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Redwater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marquez Jones led the charge by going 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Leavitt, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points and seven boards.

Garrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Redwater, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Garrison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-44 victory against Mt. Enterprise on the 12th. As for Redwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-41 defeat against San Augustine on the 12th.
