Softball Recap: Johnstown Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Johnstown's offense. They came up short against the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs on Monday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Sir Bills' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Johnstown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Valik, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Johnstown's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnstown will face off against Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, they will square off against Unatego at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
