Preview: Iberia Rangers vs. Stoutland Tigers
Iberia is 10-0 against Stoutland since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Having just played yesterday, the Iberia Rangers will get right back to it and host the Stoutland Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Iberia entered their tilt with Bunceton with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Iberia beat Bunceton back in December of 2023 by the very same score they won with last week: 58-52.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Stoutland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past St. Elizabeth 76-73. The score was all tied up 37-37 at the break, but Stoutland was the better team in the second half.
Iberia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Stoutland, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Iberia was able to grind out a solid victory over Stoutland in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, winning 56-48. Does Iberia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stoutland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
