Riverside-Durham put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Roxboro Community Bulldogs a 7-0 shutout. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Roxboro Community's batters probably weren't too happy with Kaiden Nichols, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Nichols has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Riverside-Durham let Brayden Mottola and Kj Burton run wild. Mottola scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Burton scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Micah Harris also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Riverside-Durham hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive games.

Riverside-Durham's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Roxboro Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
