Soccer Recap: East Gaston Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Gaston can now relate to. They fell just short of the Shelby Golden Lions by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. East Gaston were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but Shelby's defense proved too tough.

East Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 11-7-2. As for Shelby, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.
