Basketball Recap: Plaza Heights Christian Academy Skates Past Lighthouse Prep Academy with Ease

Plaza Heights Christian Academy won against Applewood Christian last Monday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions blew past the Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles, posting a 60-33 victory. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on five straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plaza Heights Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reece Cornine, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine assists. Cornine has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 20 times she's played. Ava Collier was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.

Cornine wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Plaza Heights Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Plaza Heights Christian Academy's record is now 21-7. As for Lighthouse Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
